ZFS appoints Martin Senn CEO

Zurich Financial Services Group has appointed Martin Senn, the firm's chief investment officer, to replace outgoing chief executive officer James Schiro.

Following Schiro's retirement at the end of the year, Senn will assume the CEO position on January 1, 2010. Senn joined the company in 2006 having served in senior leadership positions with Swiss Life, Credit Suisse and Swiss Bank Corp (now UBS).
