What were you doing in 1994?

I was running the US natural gas desk at Merrill Lynch in New York. It was around that time that the gas market really took off. It was a young and exciting market, and it's even more volatile than crude, so it has always been an interesting contract to trade.

I'm sure 500 people claim it too, but in 1990 I traded the first contract in the first minute of the Nymex
