New COO of Asia global finance and risk solutions at BarCap
Hans Fuchs has been promoted to the newly created position of chief operating officer for Barclays Capital's Asian global finance and risk solutions group.
He will be based in Hong Kong and will report to Andy Jones and Patrick Kwan, the bank's co-heads of global finance and risk solutions for the Asia-Pacific region, located in Singapore and Hong Kong respectively.
Fuchs joined the London-based bank in July 1998, and his most recent position was head of global loans for Asia-Pacific.
The global finance and risk solutions group was created in May to match similar groups at the bank's European and US offices. The group covers debt capital markets, loan origination, equity capital markets, leveraged finance, a financing solutions group, enterprise risk management, structuring, derivatives marketing and corporate foreign exchange.
