In the second of a series of interviews with notable participants from all sectors of the industry, Paul Lyon speaks with a leading structurer, Merrill Lynch's Alvise Munari, about the role of manufacturers in the structured products market

How long have you been with Merrill Lynch? Can you give us a flavour of your main areas of responsibility and the size of your team?

I joined Merrill Lynch in April 2005 from Goldman Sachs, and I now head up equity-linked structuring and structured sales in EMEA and flow sales ex-UK.

I am also co-head of the EMEA Strategic Solutions Group, whose mandate is to provide our institutional clients structured solutions across the entire asset class spectrum.
