Commerzbank launches UK and Ireland sales

Commerzbank Corporates & Markets (CBCM) has launched a UK and Ireland Financial Institutions Marketing (FIM) sales team which includes two new hires, Eugene Collins and Steven Muzzlewhite. The initiative marks the expansion a European structured products business in which Commerz is a leader in Germany.

"Structured products are already used to a great extent by European investors; to generate returns and for managing risk,” says Jaime Uribe, co-head of FIM - Equity Derivatives at CBCM. “Changes in UK regulation, in particular Ucits III and in the area of personal pensions, have allowed a greater flexibility for UK retail and institutional investors. As a result we are seeing an increasing number of UK investors who are looking for innovative products with which to diversify their portfolios
