All change on the BIS op risk team

Stephen Senior, who had focused on operational risk issues at the BIS while on secondment from the Bank of England, returned to the UK in late January. According to a source, he will continue to work on Basel II issues, although the BofE spokesman declined to officially comment on Senior’s new role.

Also leaving the BIS is Robert Maahs, who had been on secondment from the Federal Reserve in Washington DC for a year and a half. Maahs was intimately involved in the third quantitative impact study
