APX appoints chief technology officer

Environmental and energy infrastructure provider APX has created a chief technology officer position and appointed Joseph Varnas to the role. He will report to Brian Storms, the firm's chairman and chief executive officer.

Varnas previously worked as executive vice-president and chief information officer at risk management firm Marsh. Before his time at Marsh, he worked as managing director at UBS Global Asset Management, where he was responsible for IT and operations across the asset management
