Prudential names CIO

Prudential Fixed Income Management, the asset management subsidiary of US insurer Prudential Financial, has appointed Michael Lillard as chief investment officer. The firm has also named Citigroup fixed-income strategist Arvind Rajan as its new head of quantitative research and risk management.

As CIO, Lillard is responsible for overseeing all portfolio management and trading. A 20-year veteran of the company, he was previously senior investment officer for insurance portfolios, liability-driven
