Moody’s appoints financial policy chief

Moody’s has hired its first chief international economic and financial policy analyst. Pierre Cailleteau is assuming the new role after more than a year as chief credit officer for the agency’s sovereign risk unit.

Cailletau, whose career includes stints at Banque de France, Calyon and the International Monetary Fund, will provide an official Moody’s view on how credit risk is affected by economic and financial policy.
