Carlyle hires MD for Asian leveraged finance

Eric Mason has joined the Carlyle Group as a managing director in the leveraged finance team.

He moves from JPMorgan Securities Asia, where he was co-head of syndicated and leveraged finance for the Asia-Pacific region. He was responsible for structuring and executing financial sponsor-related leveraged buyouts, high-yield bonds and mezzanine debt.

Based in Hong Kong, Mason is responsible for developing the group's Asian business. Carlyle Leveraged Finance has more than $8 billion under
