New European credit boss at GFI

GFI Group has promoted Richard Giles to head of credit, Europe. Giles remains in London and reports to Julian Swain, head of GFI’s London brokerage.

Giles joined GFI in 1993 and has worked in currency options, energy and credit in both Hong Kong and London. He will be looking after all of GFI’s credit business in London including single-name credit default swaps, credit indices, the leveraged loan business and structured credit, including index tranches.

Giles will also head up the bespoke
