Lefferts joins Markit in best execution role

London-based data provider Markit has hired David Lefferts as a director in New York.

Lefferts will focus on developing tools that determine fair value and measure best execution.

He joins from the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD), where he served as head of fixed-income strategy, a role which included responsibility for Trace (Trade Reporting and Compliance Engine), the NASD’s
