JPMorgan hires head of liquid rates trading

JPMorgan has hired Christopher Willcox as head of liquid rates trading for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Starting in London on June 1, Willcox will report to Patrick Edsparr, global head of rates and securitised products. He previously worked at Citigroup in Singapore, where he was head of rates and currencies for Asia-Pacific.

Willcox’s position is a new role at the bank, which it created in response to growth in the exotics and hybrids business, says a spokesperson at the bank in London
