Athilon has promoted Patrick Gonzalez to chief executive officer. Gonzalez was formerly COO at the New York-based firm, which provides credit protection on structured products. Gonzalez, who has also worked at XL Capital Assurance, MBIA Insurance and Standard & Poor’s, says: “The credit swaps market is growing rapidly and I expect Athilon to benefit from this strong growth by continuing to provide value-added services to the credit swaps market.”Athilon has also appointed Joseph Bauman as
