MarketAxess appoints new president

MarketAxess, the New York-based trading technology firm, has hired Kelley Millet as president.

Millet joins from Bear Stearns, where he was co-head of global credit trading. He starts immediately, taking the post previously held by chairman and chief executive Richard McVey.

Paddy Turner, MarketAxess’s European sales manager, says that Millet has been brought in to expand and diversify in North America. He adds that relinquishing the post will give McVey, who remains as chairman and chief
