Mark Hickey, head of financial institutions debt capital markets for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Royal Bank of Scotland, has been elected chair of the European Securitisation Forum for 2009.

He will act as vice-chair of the ESF for the remainder of 2008.

Hickey has 15 years of experience at RBS in securitisation and debt capital markets and has been in his current role since 2006.
