Bear shores up asset management with new chief
Jeffrey Lane has taken over as head of Bear Stearns’ asset management division, in order to restore investor confidence in its hedge fund business.
Lane becomes chief executive and chairman of Bear Stearns Asset Management (BSAM). He was formerly co-head of asset management at Lehman Brothers, based in New York. In his new role he reports to Bear Stearns president and co-chief operating officer
