David Goldman leaves Cantor

David Goldman, global head of fixed-income research, has left Cantor Fitzgerald in New York.

He is set to join the buy side later this month at an as yet unspecified firm, where his calls will be backed by capital for the first time. He joined Cantor in January 2006 from Bank of America Securities, where he managed global debt research, and previously worked as a global credit strategist at Credit Suisse.

The departure will be a blow to Cantor, which hired Goldman to build a fixed-income research
