HSBC names Greece CEO

HSBC has hired Matthew Bosrock as chief executive and country manager for Greece. Replacing Chris Ellis who has left the bank, Bosrock reports to Johnny Crichton, head of HSBC Bank’s international division.

Bosrock was previously co-head of HSBC’s corporate banking centres in the UK, a position he held since 2005. Before that, he was head of corporate and institutional banking in sub-Saharan Africa.

In his new role Bosrock will “aggressively seek out growth opportunities,” says Crichton.
