UBS hires head of US rate derivatives strategy

UBS has hired Eric Liverance as head of US rate derivatives strategy. Based in Stamford, Connecticut, Liverance replaces Emmin Shung, who has moved to become a strategist on UBS's exotics trading desk.

Liverance previously worked as head of quantitative interest rate strategy at Morgan Stanley, where his responsibilities included analytical modelling, relative value and trading model construction and implementation.

He joined Morgan Stanley in 2003 from New York-based hedge fund Clinton Group
