Nomura loses head of fixed income in New York

Najib Canaan, head of fixed income in the Americas at Nomura Securities in New York, has left the bank. A spokesperson says Canaan has left the firm to pursue other interests and that Yutaka Nakajima, managing director in the fixed-income group, becomes interim head of fixed income.

Canaan joined Nomura in November 2000 after 12 years with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, the investment bank bought
