RBS merges structured credit desks in Asia

Royal Bank of Scotland has combined its Asian collateralised debt obligation and collateralised loan obligation business with the mortgage-backed/asset-backed securities (MBS/ABS) product business under Byron Holmes, Tokyo-based head of Asia-Pacific MBS and ABS.

The move follows the December departure of Chris Hodgeman, Hong Kong-based head of structured credit and alternatives for the Asia-Pacific region. The bank does not plan to replace Hodgeman. Previously in the same position at ABN Amro in
