Merrill swoops for JPM derivatives team

Merrill Lynch has pinched 23 derivatives marketers from rival JPMorgan since bonuses were announced in March.

Among the new recruits are debt derivatives specialists Daniele Bartocciono, who becomes head of European emerging markets derivatives for both debt and equity, and Gloria Vargas, who will manage debt derivatives for France, Portugal and Belgium for corporates and the public sector.
