Botti leaves CLCM for hedge fund

John Botti, global head of Crédit Lyonnais Credit Management (CLCM), has left the firm to set up a stand-alone hedge fund. Although Botti’s departure comes close on the heels of the merger of French banks Crédit Agricole and Crédit Lyonnais to form Calyon, people close to CLCM say the two events are unrelated.

Keith Lombardo, head of CLCM in New York, and William Mehleisen, a senior member of the team, have also left CLCM. According to friends of the two, they are likely to join Botti in his new
