SG’s Bernard Desforges to head equity derivatives in Asia

Société Générale has appointed Bernard Desforges as head of equity derivatives, Asia-Pacific.

Desforges, who has been with SG since 1987, moves from Paris to Hong Kong, where he will oversee equity derivatives sales, structuring and trading for the region. Previously in Paris, he was global head of sales and structuring for equity derivatives. Desforges also founded Lyxor Asset Management, a subsidiary of SG, in 1998.

In his new role, Desforges succeeds Raphael Blot, the previous head of equity derivatives for Asia, who left the bank last month.
