Threadgold quits JP Morgan to run market risk at UBS

Threadgold, who is currently on ‘gardening leave’, is set to join UBS on September 15. He will remain based in New York, but is expected to transfer to London in the medium term.

Stephan Keller, who has worked as chief risk officer at UBS investment bank since 2004, has moved to head the group treasury department at UBS.

JP Morgan has seen a number of departures from its long-serving risk management team in the past couple of years. Leslie Daniels Webster retired from the bank in February last year after serving as head of market risk for 11 years. Meanwhile, the US dealer also lost Paul Shotton last year to Lehman Brothers, where he works as global head of market risk.

JP Morgan has yet to announce who will replace Threadgold.
