Escoffier replaces Annandale as SG’s head of UK derivatives

SG lost out in a recent battle to purchase the majority of the structured funds group of New York-based Zurich Capital Markets, a unit of Switzerland’s Zurich Financial, to rival BNP Paribas. Escoffier was given the role as UK head of equity derivatives shortly after the bank lost out on the deal.

SG is seeking to hire a number of key personnel in the UK, with the announcement of the appointment of a senior salesperson expected within the next couple of weeks.
