Calyon names head of hybrid structuring

Sahara joins Calyon from ABN Amro, where he was a senior manager in hybrid capital. He will report to Jean-Marc Blankert, global head of origination at Calyon.

Blankert said that the hiring was part of Calyon's plan to establish itself as a leading player in hybrids. The appointment of Sahara follows the decision, reported last month, to set up a hybrid team in London headed by non-euro exotics head Stephane Amsellem.
