DANIEL GORDON

Daniel Gordon has joined HSBC's group operational risk policy and development unit. Gordon was previously senior manager at Ernst & Young's UK risk management advisory. He took up his new position on April 30. He will work for Mike Constantinou, who joined as head of the bank's op risk function earlier this year. Constantinou was previously head of op risk at Barclays. HSBC is understood to be increasing its op risk management expertise in anticipation of switching to Basel II's
