Botermann quits Gerling

Walter Botermann has stepped down as director of the board of Gerling, which was recently taken over by German insurance group Talanx, to take up a position as chairman at insurance firm, Alte Leipziger Versicherung. He is the second board member to have left Gerling this summer, the other being Norbert Heinen, who had been CEO of Gerling since 2002 until the company's takeover by Talanx.
