Life and pensions consultancy Higham Group has appointed Jocelyn Blackwell as chief executive, following six months as the company's chief operating officer. Blackwell joined Higham Group in January 2005 when Dunnet Shaw, the pensions and IT management company she had founded in 1987, merged with the Higham Group. Blackwell succeeds company founder, Alan Higham, who has held the position for the last eight years and is now moving to the role of non-executive director.
