The UK's Financial Reporting Council has finalised the membership of the Board for Actuarial Standards (BAS), which will be chaired by Paul Seymour, former chief executive of the Laurentian Financial Group.

Supporting Seymour in his work will be Nigel Bankhead, previously a main committee member of the Association of Consulting Actuaries and most recently an employee for Grant Thornton where he was responsible for developing a system for monitoring scheme funding for The Pensions Regulator.
