People - Rubenstein joins Lehman Brothers

Lehman Brothers has appointed Alan Rubenstein as managing director and European head of its Pensions Advisory Group, following eight years in a similar role with Morgan Stanley. Lehman Brothers existing pensions operations are conducted by individuals spread across investment banking, equities and fixed income, and Rubenstein will be responsible for consolidating this into one platform and then expanding it further in the European market. Morgan Stanley have not announced a replacement for Rubenstein, and until this happens, Andrew Drake will handle all UK-related business, and other European pensions desks will be overseen by their respective capital market teams.
