Start-up bulk purchase annuity provider Synesis Life has made a raft of senior appointments this month. Jane Newell, OBE, has joined the company as a non-executive director. She is expected to draw on her experience as chair of Royal Mail Pension Plan - whose assets of £21 billion, make it one of the largest pension funds in the UK. In addition to recruiting to the board, Synesis has also appointed Robin Houghton and Joseph Lu as senior managers. Houghton joins from Watson Wyatt's life insurance
