New chairman for NAPF

The UK's defined benefit pension lobby group, the National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF) has appointed Chris Hitchen to replace Robin Ellison as chairman of the organisation.

In addition to his duties with the NAPF, Hitchen is the chief executive of Railpen, the Railways Pension Trustee Company, a position he has occupied since 2004; while Ellison's retirement as chairman will enable him to focus on his job as the head of strategic development for the pension's arm of UK law firm, Pinsent
