Oechslin new Munich Re CRO

Munich Re has appointed Axa's current deputy chief risk (CRO) officer, Joachim Oechslin, to take over the position of CRO following incumbent Charlie Shamieh's decision to resign for an unspecified position in the US. Munich Re emphasised that Shamieh's decision was due to personal reasons and characterised his resignation as by "amicable agreement".Shamieh is due to relinquish his position in the near future but the company declined to confirm who would carry out his duties until Oechslin's
