BaFin model expert moves to new role at Talanx

Dr Gerhard Stahl, head of BaFin's risk modelling group is leaving the German financial supervisor to join Talanx as deputy chief risk officer and head of quantitative risk management. Stahl will begin work in October where he will report directly to the company's chief financial officer, Immo Querner. He will be tasked with building-up Talanx's enterprise risk management capability. In his present position, Stahl has led the QRM unit of BaFin that is in charge of on-site inspections of risk
