CESR plans to update website

During the first half of 2007, the Committee of European Securities Regulators (CESR) is planning to update and enhance its website. To this end, it has published a questionnaire, requesting comments from users.

As the CESR’s work is shifting from the level two capacity of giving advice to the European Commission based on consultations with market participants, to the role of ensuring supervisory convergence on a day-to-day basis, the website will need to follow. The current website is primarily built to facilitate the consultation process used in developing advice to the European Commission, however, in order to work effectively, and to achieve a maximum level of transparency, a new structure is needed.
All questionnaires need to be returned to the CESR by 26 February.
