Ken Rayner, the former head of product development at Bradford and Bingley (B&B), has announced he is leaving the company to launch a retail product consultancy. He takes two former colleagues with him to the venture.

The company, RSM Financial, will open for business on November 15. Rayner says the growing market for structured products has created opportunities for product development outsourcing. The company will also undertake research on behalf of IFAs and product providers.
