Macquarie establishes equityderivatives desk in Singapore

Macquarie Bank has set up an equity derivatives desk in Singapore to focus on the country’s warrants and structured products markets. The move marks the first step beyond Hong Kong and Korea for the Australian bank’s Asia ex-Japan derivatives business.

“Part of the business will be a structured products desk to service the Singapore-based private banking counterparties, and the other part of it will be a warrants business,” says Matthew Long, head of Singapore, equity markets group, who relocated
