EDF Trading’s Nordic office commences business

EDF Trading, the subsidiary of EDF responsible for wholesale energy market activity, announces the opening of its Nordic office in Oslo, Norway

The seven-strong trading, origination and analysis team cover Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland. They will also look at opportunities in the Baltics and Russia because of their connections with Nordic countries.

The primary focus for the office initially is the Nordic electricity markets and those markets strongly linked to the price of Nordic power including coal and carbon emissions. EDF Trading is active across the energy commodities and can also offer Nordic counterparties expertise in the
