Top executives leave RBS Sempra

Executive departures were planned and commodities remain core, according to statements from RBS and Sempra Energy

RBS Sempra Commodities has confirmed that president Frank Gallipoli and CEO David Messer have left the company.

Mark Snell, chief financial officer at Sempra Energy, and Jeremy Wright, chief administrative officer at Royal Bank of Scotland's markets business, will co-manage RBS Sempra Commodities until a successor to Messer is named.

Messer worked for Sempra Energy and its predecessor companies for 11 years and is a 26-year veteran of the financial sector. "My immediate plans are to take a trip
