Calvert appoints CIO

Calvert Group, a Washington DC-based mutual fund with $9.7 billion in assets under management, has named Catherine Palmer Roy as chief investment officer of the fixed-income department. Roy, who will oversee approximately $6 billion in fixed-income and money market assets, will report directly to Barbara Krumsiek, chief executive officer of Calvert.

As chief investment officer, Roy will take overall responsibility for the performance and analysis of fixed-income funds while managing the risk
