China Construction Bank close to hiring risk head

CCB seeking to improve its risk management

China Construction Bank (CCB) is in the final stages of appointing a chief risk officer, says the bank's chairman Guo Shuqing, according to media reports.

No names have been mentioned, but CCB is known to have been looking for a CRO since the third quarter of 2005. The search is believed to have been wide and to have focused on people with similar roles at leading banks.
