Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has launched a Japanese equity derivatives business within RBS Securities Japan, its wholly owned subsidiary in Tokyo, and has recruited a team of five from French bank BNP Paribas. Makoto Usami joins the team as head of the equity derivatives sales team in Japan, bringing 18 years of experience in selling derivatives and structured products garnered at BNP Paribas in Tokyo. He reports locally to Philippe Avril, branch manager and representative in Japan for RBS
