Allen Sheals, formerly vice-president of global commodities at Citigroup, has joined Merrill Lynch in a similar role. As vice-president of Merrill Lynch's strategic solutions group focusing on commodity derivatives structuring and marketing, Sheals will oversee the structuring of commodity products and distribution to wholesale and institutional clients. He is based in Hong Kong and reports to Samir Atassi, head of Asia-Pacific strategic solutions group at Merrill Lynch.
