Stephen W. Bergstrom has been named president and chief operating officer of Houston-based Dynegy, Inc, reporting directly to Chuck Watson, Dynegy's chairman and CEO. In this newly created position, Bergstrom will be responsible for day-to-day activities across all the company's operating units. After joining Natural Gas Clearing house, Dynegy's predecessor, in 1986, Bergstrom has risen steady in the organization. Mostly recently, he served as president and COO of Dynegy marketing and trade and as senior vice president of Dynegy. Bergstrom has served on Dynegy's board of directors since 1995.

Mark Bolton last week joined NatWest Global Financial Markets (GFM) in London, as a proprietary trader, reporting to David White, chief dealer. Bolton was formerly chief dealer with Bank Brussels Lambert in London, says a source close to the bank.

European telecommunications company Bosch has opened an office in the City of London to target UK financial institutions with integrated voice and data solutions. The office, based at 1-4 Singer Street, London EC2, will sell and maintain the Integral 33 open platform that delivers ISDN to the desk.

Multex.com's chief financial officer, Philip Callaghan, is leaving the company to join New Jersey-based Skila Inc. in the same role. Philip Scheps, the Multex's vice president finance and controller has been appointed acting CFO while the company conducts a search for a replacement.

BankBoston in London has hired Angela Chueh as managing director of treasury, reporting to Gabriel Inoue, chief operating officer of the capital markets group. Chueh was previously at Commerzbank in London.
