BITS issues guidelines for IT outsourcing

-- BITS, a non-profit industry consortium of the 100 largest financial institutions in the US, has released a framework for financial services IT outsourcing guidelines.

The 2003 BITS framework for managing technology risk for IT service provider relationships establishes best practices for financial services outsourcing, including detailed considerations for disaster recovery, security audits and assessments, vendor management, and cross-border relationships.
