Mark Kinsey is the new acting director of the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (Ofheo). He replaces Aida Alvarez, who was moved to become administrator of the US's small businesses last week.

Ofheo is a US regulatory agency that oversees the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae) and the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac).

Kinsey was formerly Ofheo's deputy director with responsibility for day-to-day operations, including examination and regulatory
