Quinn Emanuel poaches Allen & Overy's Daniel Cunningham

Daniel Cunningham has been hired by the US arm of business litigation firm Quinn Emanuel Urquhart Oliver & Hedges.

In his new role, Cunningham will be responsible for "litigation matters involving complex financial products, in addition to bankruptcy and restructuring litigation", according to Peter Calamari, partner at Quinn Emanuel.

Cunningham currently serves as senior partner and co-head of the global US practice at Allen & Overy in New York; he will remain there until April 30. He has been with Allen and Overy since 2001.

He will officially start with Quinn Emanuel on June 29; however, Calamari said that Cunningham will be able to consult with the firm from April 30 on matters that do not conflict with Allen & Overy's clientele.
